We’re thrilled to introduce ABMA’s new lobbyist, Jim Thompson, from HGMN! A seasoned professional with over two decades of political experience, Jim has worn many hats—consultant, campaign strategist, legislative aide, and advocate. His impressive career includes advocating before local, state, and federal governments, building invaluable connections with GOP leadership, presidential administrations, and regulatory agencies. With a track record of securing millions in government procurement contracts, Jim brings expertise that will serve ABMA’s mission well.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jim’s life is rich with personal commitments and community involvement. He and his wife, Angela—an elected official and Saratoga County Supervisor representing Clifton Park—recently celebrated 24 years of marriage. Together, they are proud parents to four children: Ian (13) and 11-year-old triplets, Molly, Duke, and Tabitha.
Jim’s dedication to service extends beyond his career. He’s the former Board Chair for the March of Dimes in Northeastern New York and a current Board Member for Lifesong, an organization supporting adults with special needs through day habilitation and employment programs.
With his wealth of experience, deep community ties, and passion for advocacy, Jim Thompson is an exciting addition to the ABMA team. Please join us in giving him a warm welcome!
