The Department of Labor (DOL) has issued a “Notice of Proposed Rulemaking” via the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The move includes standards for fork trucks, tractors, platform lift trucks, motorized hand trucks, and other specialized industrial trucks. The proposed standard would update the design and construction requirements of OSHA’s powered industrial trucks standards for general industry and construction.
