If you’ve been around ABMA long enough, you know Joe Cecarelli was there from the start. As the first chairman, he helped build ABMA from the ground up, and he’s still making things happen today. Right now, Joe is leading the charge to fix OSHA’s crane certification rules so they make sense for our industry—specifically by pushing for a Boom Truck-specific track that reflects how LBM dealers use this equipment.
Joe is out ahead, executing the next steps to ensure we’re ready when the opportunity comes. He’s already been in touch with Jeremy Baker, Safety and Fleet Director at rk Miles (VT), a go-to expert on safety training, and he’s connecting with other industries that use similar equipment to make sure we get this right.
This is the proactive approach ABMA was founded on—driven by Joe from day one. While we’re working to secure authorization for industry-specific training, Joe is already laying the groundwork, gathering the right insights, and ensuring that when the time comes, we’re ready to lead the way.
