According to the  Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), starting on Monday, February 7th, any driver that must undergo Entry-Level Driver Training (EDTL) must complete required training from a registered provider. Individuals that hold a commercial learner’s permit (CLP) issued before Feb. 7, 2022 are not subject to the ELDT requirements, so long as they obtain a CDL before the CLP or renewed CLP expires.
